Riverview Health will open its second Emergency Department / Urgent Care facility in April, 2020.

This facility is located on 146th street & Hazel Dell Parkway, in Carmel, Indiana.

Team Lead Computerized Tomography (CT) Technologist, Job Functions:

  • Accurately and safely administer contrast material to the patient in preparation for the CT study.

  • Accurately position patients to allow capture of clear and accurate images.Provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety or patient and observe and report general physical and mental condition of patients for signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change.

  • Produce images using CT scanner and assist Radiologist in viewing and reconstructing images.

  • Archive daily information into electronic systems and accurately maintain records of all examinations performed.

  • Assess patient needs and determine appropriate interventions.

  • Follow infection control requirements and assist in cleaning and disinfecting rooms to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.

  • Collect and provide monthly statistics as required and contribute to QA and CQI.

  • Exercise judgement in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures to assure compliance with state, federal, and local requirements.

  • Participate in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence

  • Perform phlebotomy duties, basic laboratory procedures, and Point of Care testing. Acts as “test personnel under CLIA 88.

  • Assist in the maintenance and operation of the department by: Reporting defective/broken equipment to appropriate department for repair according to protocol, cleaning and stocking rooms, answering phones, retrieving or transporting supplies, etc.

  • Cover Rad Tech / CT shifts at any Riverview Health facility as requested or assigned.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Computerized Tomography (CT) Radiology Technologist Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and Board Certified in Computerized Tomography (ARRT-CT)

Experience:

  • Minimum Required: One (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience
  • Preferred:  Six (6) months or greater Computerized Tomography (CT) experience

Licensure / Certification:

  • Minimum Required:
    • BLS
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-R)
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technology CT Board Certified (ARRT-CT)
    • Indiana state licensed as a Radiology Technologist, in good standing, by the date of hire / transfer into the position
