Riverview Health will open its first Emergency Department / Urgent Care facility in November, 2019.  

We are currently taking applications for Night Shift, PRN Radiology Technician staff, with computerized tomography (CT) training and experience to join this amazing team!

Our Fishers Emergency Department / Urgent Care facility is located on 116th street just east of I-69, in Fishers, Indiana, the heart of growth and development in the Fishers community.

Radiology Technician (CT tech training/experience), Job Functions:

  • Communicate with the patient in a professional manner, explaining the procedure and addressing patient questions or concerns.

  • Position patients and accurately select anatomic and technical parameters.

  • Implement radiation protection and safety protocols and standards for all general radiology and computerized tomography (CT) studies.

  • Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures.

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications for computerized tomography (CT) exams within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all general radiology and computerized tomography (CT) images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

  • Perform phlebotomy duties, basic laboratory procedures, wound cultures, Point of Care testing, and other care interventions within scope of practice and direction of the prescribing practitioner. Acts as “test personnel” under CLIA 88.

  • Other duties as assigned including covering clerical, administrative duties as needed.

Job Requirements

Radiology Technician (Rad Tech) Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Preferred: Board Certified in Computerized Tomography (CT)

Experience:

  • Minimum Required: One (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience and competent in Computerized Tomography (CT)

Licensure / Certification:

  • Minimum Required:
    • BLS
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-R)
  • Preferred:
    • Board Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-CT)
