As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary care at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Nurse Practitioner (NP).

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Functions:

  • Provide comprehensive health care to both well and ill patient in the occupational health clinic
  • Work actively to ensure that patient’s rights are identified and met for every patient
  • Provide care based on philosophical and ethical concepts
  • Establish medical diagnosis; order and evaluate diagnostic studies
  • Perform and monitor therapeutic procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessment of patient/families with real or potential acute, chronic health problems or wound care needs

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Masters degree from an advanced Practice Nurse program, RN and Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Indiana
  • Minimum Experience: Clinical nursing as an RN for 5 years, Family Nurse Practitioner for 1-2 years
  • Additional Requirements: CPR, RN and Nurse Practitioner license, and DEA registration
