As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Nuclear Radiological Tech demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Nuclear Radiological Tech encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary patient care services at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Nuclear Radiological Tech. This is a float position with variable shifts.

Nuclear Med Tech Job Functions

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures
  • Check and assay nuclear materials shipped in and out of the hospital
  • Calibrate instruments, make minor repairs and prepare nuclear material for use in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Determine appropriate dosages of nuclear materials and administer to patient
  • Position patient, operate nuclear diagnostic and treatment equipment, and monitor the patient during the procedure

 

Nuclear med Tech Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: At least two years of specialized training in Nuclear Medicine
  • Minimum Experience: One year of experience in nuclear medicine

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Level of Education
    • Minimum: At least two (2) years of specialized training in Nuclear Medicine  leading to a B.S. degree or equivalent
  • Level of Experience
    • Preferred: one year experience in nuclear medicine
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • State Issued License - Yes
  • CPR - Yes
  • ACLS - N/A
  • PALS - N/A
  • Type of Specialty Certification or other Licensure, if required: - Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT)
